Jay McCaslin began his career in Denver, CO in 2001 at Lifetime Tattoo, which he helped open with his friend/mentor Rob Hostetter. Throughout his career he has been lucky to learn from and work with many talented tattooers. He credits Hostetter, Walter McDonald, Jason Brooks, and Bill McBee as being the most influence on his tattooing.
“I just love to tattoo.” Jays says explaining his style as “Japanese, Traditional, Realism, Tribal…I’m into it.”
“I’ve worked with Ryan Scroggins, Dustin Whelan, Bill McBee, and Neal Dossey before. I love them. These are the guys who helped me as a tattooer become who I am. I’m so glad to work with them, Catfish, and everyone else at Flying Squid.
